This is a list of some prominant open acess (OA) journals.

This list is of course not exhaustive, and is mainly based on a ranking made in 2009 of open access journals according to their impact factor (IF). Because the impact factor is highly discipline-dependent, journals with the highest scores in each of five different categories are listed.

All the journals listed here can be accessed via the DOAJ portal (Directory of Open Acces Journals), which also proposes a basic search engine.
